Acknowledge Yourself

It is natural to want to be seen.

Everyone desires to be seen and heard. Most people, even the introverted, want to be seen from time to time.

So, today, I invite you to accept this invitation to acknowledge yourself. The practice of acknowledgement is being honest with yourself about who you are, at your core essence. In yoga, this is also called satya.

"Satya is a Sanskrit word meaning "truthfulness," "reality," or "essence," derived from sat (that which exists or is true). As the second of the five Yamas (ethical restraints) in Yoga philosophy, it instructs practitioners to live in alignment with truth in thought, speech, and action. It emphasizes honesty with oneself and others, avoiding falsehood and the distortion of reality," as defined in a Yoga International article by Irene Petryszak.
