Wellness As A Knowing

Being well is indeed subject to individual interpretation.

Yet, being well overall fundamentally is a knowing that you are at peace.

When the mind, body and spirit are healthy and feel grounded & supported, you feel well. Sickness in the body often is caused by suppressed emotions like anger & sadness, or mental health challenges including depression and anxiety.

So, you don't have to go to a doctor, or therapist to tell you that you are not well.

You know when you are not well.  As my colleague Dr. Donna Oriowo book title, "Drink Water, and Mind Your Business." Minimize your stress firstly by minimizing how much unnecessary stress and responsibility for other's lives you take on. Take care of you. Get grounded and rooted into you, and those cherished loved ones, often who depend on you, children and elders. But, still trust that their path, is their path. You must take care of you.

All in all, if something is off in the body, mind or spirit, best believe it's all interconnected. I learned this firsthand from my mother. She connected the dots between the timing of her physical maladies e.g. heart attacks, gallbladder issues, against family issues on an index card she left visible on her dresser -- which I found after her death in 2002.

You know when you're well, and you know when you're not.

Please do whatever you need to do to prioritize your wellness. Your life and your livelihood depends upon it.

In grace & gratitude,

Olivia
